Each round
- Players start in order of rating.
- Neighbours on the ladder play: #1 v #2, #3 v #4, and so on.
- If the lower-ranked player wins, the two swap places. Each match card shows who "can climb".
- The boundaries between courts shift each round, so you meet new opponents.
Odd numbers and doubles
With an odd number, the lowest-ranked player who has had the fewest byes sits out. In doubles, neighbouring pairs on the ladder form the teams.
Rounds and sessions
Set 1–10 rounds at setup. A Ladder can be paused and resumed in another session, so it can run over several club nights.
FAQ
Can players challenge someone higher up?
No. There are no challenges. Neighbours on the ladder play automatically each round.
